Client : One of India’s
leading Tier – II stock exchanges
The client is an established securities trade exchange in
south India. They had modernized and integrated their existing
computerized settlement and accounting operations. As part
of the ongoing modernization process, they required an Intranet
process whereby members and the exchange could establish meaningful
connectivity for a variety of information transfer needs.
VAST
undertook the project to establish connectivity between the
members and the exchange for transfer of information with
respect to the settlement process. The system provides Daily
Mails at the end of Trading, Weekly Mails, Circulars, Mails
from members to the exchange, connectivity to banks, Universal
Mail Box.
Besides
these, house keeping facilities which allowed the user to
perform the following were also provided:
a.
Set and update preference settings for different categories
of mail like Daily mail, Weekly mail, Dynamic mail and Circulars.
User will be able to set different settings like Notify recipients,
expiry of mail after a specific number of days, Auto-deletion
of mail at server after the expiry and reply required.
b. Delete, insert or edit an attachment to different categories
of mail
c. Edit the receivers list for a category of mail. Here the
user will be able to insert or delete a user/group from the
receivers list for a specific category of mail.

Technical Environment
Hardware:
System Fault Tolerant (SFT II) Pentium Server (Host end),
Pentium terminals (Remote end).
Software:
GroupWise for presentation (screens) and mail access. Notify
to prompt the users whenever they receive mails requiring
their immediate attention. Groupwise View Designer to create
customized views. Novell Netware utilities to gain access
to server for development, testing, and establish link with
other servers.
