The client is a leading worldwide provider of Knowledge Automation solutions for intranets, extranets and the internet, through its offices in the US, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland.
The client's flagship product is a hypertext publisher for Lotus Notes and Domino. Unlike cut and paste operations, import or any other documentation solutions for Lotus Notes, this product preserves the documents' look and feel, including graphics, bullets and complex table borders and then optimizes it into powerful, colorful and easy to use hypertext that can be accessed from Notes without any additional software. Any documentation published with this product is completely platform independent within Notes and can be replicated and secured at the topic level just like any other information in a Notes database.

VAST 's consultants were involved in development of some enhancements to the product, specifically covering the development of functions to enable easier publication of the document into Notes from a source document and ensure that contents of the Notes document would specifically match the contents of the source document. The other features included the review and modification to the existing code for design purposes, so that a word document would appear exactly the same even in a Notes document; Developing documentation for the product's application source code. These included the application flow document, Project settings technical documentation besides a few other documents. These documents included the description of the various classes and methods used in the applications source code.
