(03/03/2017) On Feb. 28, 2017, a selected auspicious day in the glorious season of spring, VAST China held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of development of VCN Phase II project in Taicang.
Around one hundred people, including officers from the Taicang Municipal Party Committee, members of the Taicang Municipal Government, the VAST Board of Directors and VAST China employee representatives witnessed the ceremony, which took place at the facility’s site located beside the Phase I building. Representatives from VAST and Taicang government officers lighted up the “starting ball.” The construction area of this Phase II project is about 20,000 square meters, and the project is estimated to be completed in February 2018. “Since formal operation of VAST China Phase I project in 2011, VAST China has achieved great success,” chairman of VAST Board of Directors Frank Krejci said. “Now China plays a very important role in our global business. We are confident in the future of the Chinese automotive market and in our growing competitiveness to gain more market share.”
Looking into the future, VAST is continuously investing in capacity and capability in
China to support OEMs all over the world. This phase II construction project will
strengthen VAST research and development talent and capability, and secure
production capacity for future growth of VAST. “As long as seed in the spring, there will be a harvest in the autumn” said Mr. Wang Jian Guo, mayor of Taicang Municipal Party Committee & Taicang Municipal Government. Just as Mr. Wang said, we firmly believe that VAST China sows the seeds of “phase II construction projects” today, will surely reap gratifying fruit in the future!
