VAST concludes the year 2015 with two new records: More than 10,000 employees world-wide develop innovative solutions for the automotive world and VAST once again reached new record Sales. VAST was founded 15 years ago, when the specialists for vehicle access systems WITTE Automotive, STRATTEC, and somewhat later ADAC Automotive, joined forces in a Global Alliance. Since then VAST has recorded continued growth. "Our global presence has increasingly gained in importance," says ADAC Automotive CEO and current VAST Chairman, Jim Teets, emphasizing the long-term success of the cooperation. "Through the recently formed MINDA VAST Access Technology, we now have a joint venture in India which complements our global footprint." For many years, VAST continues to be one of the leading suppliers for the worldwide automotive industry. Currently with 14 development centers and 16 production facilities in Asia, the Americas and Europe, VAST is wherever the major automotive manufactures are and continue to realize their global projects. "We use global synergies effectively and pass on the know-how gained from joint product developments to our customers," concludes Jim Teets.
At last year's IAA, the partners first showcased VAST solutions to make tomorrow’s vehicles even more comfortable and safer: Intelligent door actuators, which can be combined with Gestures, Bluetooth or NFC access systems, innovative camera tractable systems, electric seat back Latches and the patented Door Protect System. "Thanks to our extremely competent and well-motivated employees, sophisticated systems are created, which combine mechanical, electrical and electronics perfectly," explains VAST President, Philippe Dequecker. "And that is exactly what our customers expect from us."
