(01/19/2018) On January 18, 2018, all VAST China staff enjoyed a happy get-together, celebrating one billion RMB in sales for 2017 and the coming of 2018 Chinese New Year!Sales were boosted by strong growth in the China market by both global and local China customers. In particular, Geely, SGM Wuling and Chang’An are in the “million club” for vehicles produced per annum. Together with global customers, local China OEMs will provide additional growth for VAST China. As part of the growth strategy, VAST China has launched new and higher value-added products such as ESCL, a locally designed and developed flush outer door handle and vertically integrated switches for General Motors. VAST China is also positioning to enter power products for the local China market.
The vehicle market in China is also undergoing changes. The China government is strongly promoting electrical vehicle development. This market development will provide additional opportunities for VAST China.
Representative of customers, Taicang government officers brought their congratulations and joined our celebration as well. “I first came to China in 1987, 30 years ago! I flew into Hongqiao airport as Pudong was not yet built…Our destination that day was Kunshan….it took a very long time to get there as the highway had not yet been built!” said Rick Vande Kopple, Board member of VAST China. “I marvel at the speed at which things have grown and changed here.”
In 2011, VAST China only had 4 molding presses, a small paint line and few assembly lines installed at that time. Looking at today the progress that our team has made: We have reached 1Bil sales revenue in year 2017! Thanks to our great customers, our growth pattern has been very strong and soon we will have doubled the size of our original facility here. Thanks to our great team, in the party, we celebrated 10 years’ anniversary for the employees who worked in VAST for 10 years, recognized and awarded Y2017 Excellent Employee & Excellent Team & Excellent Project Team.
2017, it was a banner year! As much progress as we all have made, our future is dependent on making MUCH more progress in the future. Our great customers deserve a high-quality product at very competitive prices. This can only be accomplished with strong improvement from us! 2018, let’s create another new height and to make an even better success!
